Four Mile
Historic Park
Hans, Walker and Mitch
Introduction
The sky was gray and full of clouds, and the leaves
on the trees popped out with colors from orange to red. The
birds sang to us and the smell of both flowers and winter hung
in the air. A man dressed in 1800’s attire with only four fingers
on one hand walked up and explained about Four Mile Park
and the stations we would be visiting including Four Mile
House, setting up camp, gold panning, packing the wagon,
wagon wide and Native Americans.
Covered wagons were like moving houses.
Horses eat carrots, hay,
and some grass.
Oxen poop was used
as fuel for a fire.
