3. Experimental Restoration
Very poor growing conditions on the sand tailings
following mining (~0.07% C and ~0.003% N). The
project encouraged a decentralised business
reclamation initiative - compost and seedling
production in local villages
Mixture of farmland and secondary forest regrowth with some swamp. Top
soil enriched by presence foliage and litter.
