Since then, 80 years have passed and I
still ask myself the same question
(approx. — What is electricity?), but not
able to answer it.
Graftio, Heinrich Osipovich (1869 - 1949) – Soviet
scientist, power engineer and engineer, one of the
pioneers of Russian hydro energy power
constructions. In 1921–27. the chief engineer of
construction of the Volkhov hydroelectric station,
and then headed the construction of the NizhneSvirsky hydroelectric power station. In 1938–45 . the
chief inspector on construction of hydroelectric
power plants of the Ministry of the USSR. During the
great Patriotic war of 1941-1945. carried out
extensive work on development of hydropower
restored areas of the country.

Nikola Tesla (1856 - 1943) — physicist, engineer,
inventor in the field of electrical engineering and
radio. Widely known due to its scientific and
revolutionary contribution to the study of the
properties of electricity and magnetism in the late
XIX — early XX centuries. Patents and theoretical
work of Nikola Tesla formed the basis for modern
devices working on alternating current, multiphase
systems and electric motors that allowed to make
the second phase of the industrial revolution.
Tesla's name is called the unit of magnetic flux
density (magnetic induction). Contemporaries
biographers considered Tesla "the man who
invented the XX century" and "patron Saint" of
modern electricity". After the demonstration, the
radio and victory in the "War of currents", Tesla
has been universally recognized as an outstanding
electrical engineer.
