• Maintain the research networking einfrastructure in the Euro-Mediterranean
region to further maximise synergies for
research (FP7) projects

ENPI Regional South Indicative Programme for 2011-13,
probable conditions:*
• connection costs should be lowered and a better
topology should be set up with possible links to
additional countries/regions
• ASREN should be functional – taking over the
management of the project from DANTE (at least
partly)

• EUMEDCONNECT3 will be the final extension of the
project and
• the EC contribution will be decreased to 30-35% of the
total costs of the project

• EUMEDGRID: Grid e-Infrastructure in the
Mediterranean; porting of new applications on the Grid
• EUMEDGrid Support: promotion and deployment of
e-Infrastructures in the Mediterranean Area
• Ithanet: network of research centres conducting
molecular and clinical research in thalassaemia and
related haemoglobinopathies

• SEE-GRID support the participation of the SEE
countries to the Pan-European and worldwide
Grid initiatives
• LinkSCEEM: establishing a coherent HPC
community in the Eastern Mediterranean

International cooperation:
• further extension of e-Infrastructures to International
Cooperation Partner countries (ICPC);
• joint road mapping of activities with developed countries;

infrastructures on the global scale
