Tianjin Binhai New Area
In 2006, the development and opening up
of Tianjin Binhai New Area (TBNA) was
incorporated into the national
development strategy.
TBNA is the third economic engine which
has driven the regional economic growth of
China right after Shenzhen Special
Economic Zone and Shanghai Pudong New
Area.
In 2010, the total production value of TBNA
was 77 billion USD, which exceeded that of
Pudong.
According to the national plan, the
orientation of Tianjin is to build Tianjin into
an international harbor city, economic
center in the north China and an ecological
city comfortable for living.
