The Czech Republic
Who likes nature visits our mountains. But they aren‘t as high as other
mountains in Europe, that‘s why foreigners don‘t visit them to practise
downhill skiing thehe but they prefer cross-country skiing in our mountains.
Our mountain ranges are very beautiful in summer. The highest peak is
Sněžka, it can be found in Krkonoše. Our longest river_the Elbe starts here
on Labská louka.
The second highest mountains are Jeseníky, they can be divided into
Hrubý and Nízský Jeseník. The highest peak is called Praděd- it towers at
1491m and you can visit an outlook-tower there. There are spas in Karlova
Studánka, Velké Losiny and jeseník. In Velké Losiny can visit a muzeum of
handmade paper.
The Czech Republic
Karlstejn is a castle. It was founded by King IV. Women couldn‘t stay
there in the past. It was place where Charles IV worked. There were Crown
Jewels. In Chapel of St. Catherine are precious stones and valuable
pictures of Charles IV. In Karlštejn there are 127 pictures by Master
Theodorik. Today it is one of the most visiting places in our republic.
Next interesting places are our sights protected by UNESCO: Ceský
Krumlov(picturesque castle with moving theatre), Holasovice(old village
with typical Czech countryside architucture), Kutná Hora(old large church),
Prague( it is the centre of Czech old history), Telc(large historical square
and large castle), Karlovy Vary( one of the oldest and wonderful spas in the
Europe) and Olomouc (nice historical town). But in my opinion early every
town in our Republic has many nice sights which worth to see.
