A New ESEI
Traditional Electronic
Evaluation of
Instructor
Traditional ESEI systems are tailormade for individual networks.
They lack flexibility in that drastic
changes to a network often break
current system configurations.
Additionally, although there is a
large market for ESEI systems in
colleges and universities around
the country, very little work has
been completed on producing a
system that can be dropped into a
network with little modification.
The goal of the project is to
produce an ESEI system that
requires little modification after
production at each site it is
implemented.
 Old ESEI systems are
inflexible.
 There is currently no generic
solution for the problem at
hand.
 Our project group will
implement a solution that can
work in any TCP/IP
environment currently used.
How can all these systems talk?
The Solution
 ESEI server will support all traditional functions
including creation of instructor surveys with essay
questions for each class and the ability for faculty to
modify surveys.
 ESEI server will integrate with necessary systems by
means of a communication protocol that is easily used
by custom client applications that must interface with
the ESEI server. Clients will augment their own
networks with the ESEI system client programs very
easily.
What It Provides to Users
 Ability to sort and view different evaluations based
upon desired criteria (term, instructor, etc.).
 Ability for notifications send to students to fill out
evaluations based upon Admissions & Records lists of
classes.
 Ability for faculty and administration to create and
edit evaluation questions before dispatching
evaluations to the student body.
