Second Crusade
• King Louis VII of France and Eleanor of
Aquitaine were involved.
• Overall, 2nd Crusade was a Failure
3rd Crusade
• Richard the Lionheart and Sultan Saladin
• British Christians vs. Muslims
• Both men respected each other’s military
expertise
• King Richard called the Crusade a draw and
travelled back to England
