Sparta´s military discipline --- plague struck Athens,
democracy showed its weaknesses: Peasants for peace,
Athenians for war, colonies turned against Athens)
Pericles died in 429 BC: a huge impact on Athens
oligarchical constitution introduced; the end of
democracy!
