Mimicary involves
human sounds or speech mimicary;
natural sounds or noise mimicary
animal noises such as animal mimicary and
animal calls.


Appearance is the way you seem to other people
Posture

Posture is the way a person holds his body when
he is standing, walking or sitting.
Gesture


communication made with a part of the body

Distance shows the relationship between the
communicating people and seriousness of the
conversation.


Face expression is controlled by muscles and
emotional states and can be voluntary or
involuntary.

Eye Contact

Eye contact is a form of nonverbal
communication made as one person gazes into
the eyes of another.

When two people look they share the knowledge
they are both pleased to be together or that both
are angry.
Cultural Differences

With one well known exception, there are many
differences in nonverbal communication
between different cultures.
This exception is about six main expressions






Joy
Surprise
Fear
Anger
Sadness
Disgust
Appearance Differences

People in Arabic countries wear very different
clothes comparing with our country. Also we
can see that difference is our geographic regions.
Posture Differences

The German male body stance is stiffer than
that of the american.

English body stance is more similar to the
American, but the French stance is something
different again.
Gesture Differences

Yes & No Difference:
Normally in our country and other western
countries shaking your head up and down means
“yes” and shaking it right and left means “no”.
But in Slavic countries it just the opposite.
Distance Differences

South Americans prefer to be much closer than
North Americans, and Arabs prefer to
communicate closer than both of them
Eye Contact Differences

Arabs sometimes stand very close together for
conservation and look intently into one others
eyes as they talk, but there are societies in the
Far East where is thought rude to look at other
person at all conversation.
As a whole we can order some countrie from high –
context that rely heavily on nonverbal
communication, to low context that rely heavily on
words
