Mongols conquered North India (1206-1290)
First Marco Polo went to India and was intrigued by
all the riches they had.
European explorer Vasco da Gama (1498) was not
as nice to the people that he encountered.
Southern India was left in ruins when European
explorers came and conquered and plundered
