You will need:
Modeling clay or Crayola Model Magic
Paper Mache Faces
Foam Core
Poster board
Metallic Paint
Talk about what a king in Egypt would look
like.
Cut out the crown shape out of poster board.
Glue the mask and crown on your board.
Add details like ears, snake head etc. out of
clay.
Paint the sculpture head with metallic paint.

You will need:
Modeling clay or Crayola Model Magic
Strings for necklaces.
Beads to decorate the string.
Talk about what a lotus blossom is.
Make a shape of a lotus out of your clay.
Put a hole in the clay to put your string
through.
Decorate the remainder of the string with
beads.
Put your name on a plate and put your
finished necklace on the plate.

Talk about sculptures like the Han Dynasty
Talk about its function as a weight for a
mat.
You will need:
Mat Weight in the Form of a Bear
Modeling clay or play dough or Crayola
Model Magic
A mat to put the sculptures on each end.
Make legs by pressing the flattened ball at
four corners.
Turn the clay over and stick the smaller ball
to the front of the larger ball, smoothing
them together with your thumbs.
Make two balls out of your clay.
The big ball is going to be your animal’s
body, the little ball will be the head.
Now the ball of clay should have a
flattened side.
Then you can make a design on your animal
with a toothpick or a pencil.
Pick up the clay and turn it over.
To sign you sculpture, you can put your
name on the animal’s stomach.

You will need:
Black Box.
Modeling clay or play dough or Crayola Model
Magic
A big box
Many small boxes
A variety of 3-D shapes
Glue your smaller shapes in your big box into an
interesting design.
Let dry.
Paint your assemblage black.
Sign your art work on the back of the big box.
