Article 2: The Executive Branch
The President and Vice President are the leaders of
the executive branch. Their main goal is to enforce
laws. The president controls the Military and
makes foreign treaties with senate’s approval.

The President is the leader of the executive branch
and serves a four year term along with the Vice
President
The President must be 35 years old, a natural
born citizen and must have lived in the United
States for 14 years
The President earns a set wage ($400,000) that will
not increase or decrease during a term

The President is chosen by an Electoral College
which equals the total number of House Reps. and
Senators
Elections take place on a set date by congress,
now the first Tuesday in November
The Vice President takes over in the event the
President cannot hold office, followed by the
Speaker of the House

taking office the President takes the
following Oath:

do solemnly swear that I will Faithfully
execute the office of the President of the
United States, and will, to the best of my
ability, preserve, protect, and defend the
constitution of the United States
Presidential Powers
The President is the Commander in Chief of the military in
wartime and can grant reprieves and pardons for offences
against the United States, excluding impeachment
The President can make treaties with 2/3rds Senate
approval and can appoint ambassadors, His Cabinet, and
Supreme Court Justices
The President can Fill any Vacancies during senate recess
that would expire at the end of their next session

The President must update the congress on the State of the
Union and can convene or adjourn them in times of
disagreement
The President will receive ambassadors, commission
officers of the United States, and make sure laws are
Faithfully executed
The President and Vice President shall be removed from
office when impeached, and convicted of, Treason,
Bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors
