Alliances
The Confederacy had two alliances Britain and
France. The British saw the USA as a fastgrowing economic rival and they weren’t
upset that it was divided. The French influence
in Mexico and it would suit them if they were
seceded. The Confederates sent troops to
London and Paris, to lobby for official
recognition.

ammunition and forced the Union to run. The
Union ran to the north Washington, DC. Both
sides realized there were two impacts of this

Effects
Without the Civil War, America wouldn’t be
what it is today. The south seceded, but we
wouldn’t be the United States of America.
There would be a United States and the
Confederate States of America. Slavery would
most likely not be around now, however it
would’ve carried on past 1865.
