Slavery
The states began to have disagreement
about each states’ right to permit
slavery. As a result, tension between the
North and South began to increase.

Fort Sumter: Thought to be the site where the Civil War begins.
Gettysburg: The location of a Union victory
and the location of Abraham Lincoln’s famous speech.

Union Army wanted to
destroy Atlanta because

harm the Confederacy.
Sherman’s March to the
Sea: The Union swept
across Georgia in an effort
to win the Civil War.
