Living Things
A plant is an example of a living thing. Some organisms,
called protests, are only made up of one cell. Plants are
unique among the eukaryotes, organisms whose cells have
membrane-enclosed nuclei and organelles, because they
can manufacture their own food. Chlorophyll, which gives
plants their green color, enables them to use sunlight to
convert water and carbon dioxide into sugars and
carbohydrates, chemicals the cell uses for fuel.
Non-living Things
A computer is a example of a non living thing.
Non living things have no cells.
Other things that have no cells are
High lighters
Sand
