Activity One:
The students will create a new state seal based on events
that have taken place in Ohio.
Activity Two:
The students will create a timeline of events that occurred
in Ohio.
Activity Three:
The students will learn about the underground railroad
that was in Ohio and will draw a map of where it ran in Ohio.
Activity Four:
The students will read a book about a famous
Ohioan and will create a new book jacket for that book.
Activity Five:
The students will visit the Air Force Museum.

Activity One:
The students will learn about the Amish Community and
then compare and contrast the difference in their life style to
that of the Amish.
Activity Two:
The students will take a field trip to Amish Country.
Activity Three:
A guest speaker from the NAACP will speak to the class.
Activity Four:
The students will job shadow a person in the community,
and see how they make a living.
Activity Five:
The Students will about different subcultures in Ohio.
the students will then place were these subcultures on a map
of Ohio.

The students will create a map of Ohio.
Activity Two:
The students will learn about map keys and apply
this to their map of Ohio.
Activity Three:
The students will be able to locate the state of
Ohio using latitude and longitude

The students will be able to locate the glacial features in
Ohio using a map.
Activity Five:
The students will compare the importance of the major
waterways in Ohio from today with the uses of the waterways
from one hundred years ago.

Activity One:
The students will create a budget of how they would use
their income for a month if they were thirty. The students will be
given an occupation and must live accordingly.
Activity Two:
The students will learn about propaganda to make them
better consumers. They must analysis different advertisements.
Activity Three:
The students will create their own company making
autograph books. Each students will have a different part in the
process. The children will be able to describe different roles of each
factor in production.
Activity Four:
The students will make an Ohio map of our Land
resources.
Activity Five:
The students will be acting as landlords. They will
be given information about a new tenant and must decide if
they will allow that individual to live in their complex.
