• OMR form is read automatically
• Computer finds pupils record in pupil table

This can be done for both the daily attendance sheet and the
absence sheet
Creating Pupil Reports - using mail merge
• Create a report template using a word processor which includes variables for
inserting the data e.g. the top of a report form might look like this
Pupil Name <<pupilname>>
Subject <<subject>>
Tutor <<PAT>>
Set <<set>>
Date <<date>>
Comment <<comments>>
• Create a database containing the data required
• Load the report template
• Run mail merge program using the database which contains the data
• The computer will print out reports for each pupil inserting the data in the
correct place
