Tutoring methods
Organization of work


Two tutors (me and my friend) from the
9th grade teach two students from the 6th
grade.
Tutoring sessions took place once or twice
a week after the lessons.
Relationship 





Students moods and dislikes will
effect his results in knowledge.
Trying to make a good relationship I
simply talk, talk about everything: I
ask about his education, about his
likes and dislikes, his interests and
problems.
Our conversation lasts about 5-10 min
It takes place in the beginning of each
lesson.
After a talk like that student is totally
concentrated in a subject and thinks
only about the lesson.
Explaining the
confusing tasks

I try to explain more when my pupil doesn’t
understand the material in many ways as
possible, for example equation with two
unknown quantities like 5/3:x=25/3. Pupil often
does the wrong way to solve this equation 
25/3:5/3=x , NOT to make mistakes like that,
we can replace complicated arguments to easier
e.g. 5/3  4 ; 25/3  2 , this way quantity
looks more easier : 4:x=2 , and pupil will not
make mistake like 2:4=x  , he will make the
right decision  4:2=x ; 5/3:25/3=x 
From the simple to more complex



1)
2)
For making our activity more interesting for my
pupil I give him some easier exercises to do.
After solving them pupil feels more confident
in himself and with enthusiasm takes up with
doing more complicated exercises expecting
from himself good results.
For example addition, deduction,
multiplication, division.
3/5+4/5=
25/100+75/60=
Humor&Game
(WHY?)




Humor and tone in talking with my pupil
are very important.
From it depends will my pupil be
interested in subject or not.
Nice surprises guaranties good and joyful
humor for all lesson.
Surprises like mathematic games help in
better way memorize the composed
material.
Humor&Game
(Example)
GAME: on small single chits we write
functions and on the other small single
chits we write the answers. Pupil before
he puts the right answer, has to solve the
function and only then put the right
answer. 
Systematic meetings are important




It helps in a better way to
memorize the meterial which
was learned before.
Our pupils have the experience
of consequent work and some
improvement.
They know, that they are
studying for themselves not
for anyone else.
It helps to understand the
consequences of triflening
maths and other subjects and
also the advantages of not
doing so.
Comments of our math teacher


Our teacher is proud of the results, she
says that our pupils are now more
confident at math classes than before. She
also says that now pupils like a lot maths,
are interested in it and are active. 
Good luck ;)
