Mars
Mars has the biggest volcano in the solar
system.
Mars has two very small moons called
Phobos and Deimos.
Water on Mars ?
NASA recently
discovered
frozen water on
Mars.
Cool! That
means that
there might
be life on
Mars!
NASA just discovered
dark streaks on Mars
which they think might
be flowing water.
Yay! There is
finally water on
my planet!!
All About Pluto
Pluto used to be the
ninth planet in our
Solar System.
But, in 2006,
scientists decided
to make Pluto a
dwarf planet.
Poor
Pluto!
Pluto was
discovered by an
astronomer in
1930.
The cartoon
character, Pluto,
was named after
this planet by Walt
Disney.
Dwarf Planets
A Dwarf Planet is an
object that revolves
around the sun on its
orbit.
Pluto and Eris are the
biggest Dwarf Planets.
Cool
Stars!!
Dwarf Planets are too
small to be considered
planets.
Scientists believe that
200 Dwarf Planets exist.
Pluto and Neptune
Pluto and Neptune switch orbits.
Pluto is usually the farthest planet
from the Sun, however its orbit
sometimes takes it inside Neptune's
orbit. From 1979 until 1999 Neptune
was the outermost planet. Now,
however, Pluto is the outermost
planet.
The only problem is, that Pluto is
no longer considered one of the
nine planets.
Poor
Pluto!
