• New Student/Parent Orientation in August of 2015 (information will be
mailed home over the summer)
• Parent Portal/ Aeries* Account Activation Information and Instructions
• Input contacts and emergency info online
• Sign Technology User Agreement Form
*Note – more information on Aeries will be provided at New
Student/Parent Orientation.
• 9th grade level meeting in Sept/Oct 2015 (more information
will be provided in the Fall)
• Graduation Requirements, College Admissions Requirements, Naviance,
etc.
• Addition of Exploring Computer Science Class
• Year long course that can be used to satisfy ICT Foundations requirement
• Goal: Develop in students the computational practices of algorithm
development, problem-solving, and programming within the context of
problems that are relevant to the lives of today’s students.
• Student will also be introduced to topics such as interface design, limits of
computers, robotics, and societal and ethical issues.
• Pre-requisites: Completed Alg. 1 course prior to enrolling. No previous
computer science course is required to take this course.
