The Mission of Mountain Ridge High
School is to provide real world
connections within highly engaging
classrooms that prepare graduates to
meet the rigors and demands of 21st
century global citizens.

Mountain Ridge is the only high school in DVUSD
that has earned the “A” label from the Arizona
Department of Education for 4 consecutive
years.
In addition, we have earned the A+ School of
Excellence Award from the Arizona Education
Foundation three times in 2002, 2006 and 2013.
“In the West Valley, Mountain Ridge High School
in the Deer Valley Unified School District saw
the highest percentage of students attain
bachelor’s degrees” --The Arizona Republic,
Nov. 22, 2013.
Newsweek’s 2013 “America’s Best High Schools,”
named Mountain Ridge as one of the best high
schools in the nation.
46 of our teachers have been named Teachers of
the Year since 1996; 23 of those teachers still
teach at MRHS.
