Testing and College Information
PSAT tests are given by the school in October of the sophomore and junior
year. Sophomores may choose not to “practice for the practice” by taking the
PSAT’s sophomore year but they will be automatically signed up for the test unless
we hear otherwise next fall.
SAT Subject Tests (A.K.A. SAT II tests) that are relevant in the spring of
sophomore year are Physics and World History. Not everyone takes these but if
your student did well in those courses, they might consider taking one or both of
these in the spring.
Costs:
The relevant June SAT Subject tests are given just before or right in between
Lakeside’s final exams (there are also administrations in other months)
Total fees vary by number and type of tests
$33-$44 per test; 1-3 tests per test date
$22 Basic Subject Test Fee (per registration)
$22 Language with Listening Tests (per test)
$11 All other Subject Tests (per test)
Fee waivers are available
Deadlines: late April for June SAT Subject Tests

received tonight.

Course registration will begin for Lakeside students on
February 7th. Open registration begins on February 28th.
Some courses may not run due to low enrollment. Regular
updates available through June 1.
All registration materials will be available online in February.
An informational e-mail from Chris Hartley will be sent at the
end of this month.
Summer School – things to consider
Courses that earn Lakeside credit will become
part of the student’s transcript.
Strict attendance policy.
Students should sign up for courses as if there
were no summer school. Schedules can be
adjusted.
