Satisfies high school credit requirements as
well as the credit requirements of many
colleges at the same time

5 points are added to semester grades in all AP
classes, providing the student is passing ( 71%).
Transcripts will include two grade point
averages:

GPA: Average of all grades accumulated in high
school
Weighted GPA: Average with one quality point
added per AP course.
AP Tests are graded on a scale of 1-5
Score of 3, 4, or 5 signifies that the student is
qualified to receive college credit
3: Qualified
• 4: Well-Qualified
• 5: Extremely Well-Qualified

preferably from the content in which you are
applying)

Complete application
Writing Sample : January 21-23 (before and after
school and January 26 (before school only)
Turn in application to AP subject teacher (Friday,
January 23 @4pm)
Course Eligibility Rosters posted: February 13

If selected, return AP class acceptance letter with
signatures due by February 20, 2015 to Guidance
Complete required summer reading and
assignments
Remain in the class for a full year (No schedule
changes at semester break, due to poor
performance or incomplete summer
assignments)
Must take the AP Examination in May (4-15)
(substitutes for your Spring Semester Final
Exam- FCBOE policy)
Exam price is approximately $91 per exam.

Friday, January 23: Applications due to AP
subject area teacher no later than 4 pm
Friday, February 13: AP Course Eligibility

Friday, February 20: Acceptance letters due to
the Guidance office by 4 pm
