Japan and in Nove, Mesto in the 1940’s.
• The main characters in this book are
Hana, George, their parents, and Fumiko.
Survivor
• The setting of this book was in eight
different countries. Five are in Poland, one
in Germany, one in Holland, and one more
in Romania.
• The main characters are Luncia, Herbert,
Markus, George and Ursula, Walter,
Sarah, Mathei, and Jack.
The Diary Of Anne Frank
• The setting of this book is in Amsterdam,
Netherlands.
• It takes place in 1943 when the Nazis
invaded the Netherlands.
• The main characters are Anne Frank,
Mrs. Frank, Mr. Frank, Margot Frank, Mrs.
Van Daan, Mr. Van Daan, and Peter Van
Daan.
I Am A Star
• The setting of this book is in
Czechoslovakia, which is to the east of
Germany. The story took place in the
years of 1942 – 1945.
• The main character in this book is Inge
Auerbacher. The story is told from her
point of view.
Similarities
• Our books are all similar because they are
of course all about the Holocaust.
• Another similarity is that in all our books
family is important to our main character(s)
• The last thing is that all our books take
place in the 1940’s.

Briar Rose
• Half of the story is in the United States and
the other half of the story is in Germany. It
takes place in present day.
• The main characters in this book are
Becca, Gemma, Shanna and Sylvia.
What the Holocaust Was.
• The Holocaust took place during World
War II. It was led by Adolf Hitler and the
Germans. It was a series of unfortunate
events for the Jews. The Germans or
Nazis would take Jews away to
Concentration Camps and pretty much let
them die. The war went on for five years.
