It is used in industry computers.
C++ is being used to extend and build on what is already
there.
Artificial Intelligence

solutions to machine learning.
Areas of AI:
Building game playing programs for chess and etc.
Designing programs to diagnose and solve problems in a
spacecraft or medicine.
Solving difficult problems.
Working in the field of robotics.
The firsts
The first computer programmer was a female, named
Ada Lovelace.
The first game was created in 1961.
The first virus was created in 1983.
The first computer was a loom called the Jacquard
loom, an automated, mechanical loom, which didn’t use
any electricity.
The first high-level programming
language was FORTRAN.
First computer game
1962 –Steve Russell –
Spacewar!
2 spaceships, affected by
the gravity of a star, fire
missiles, unaffected by
gravity , at each other
Took roughly 200 manhours to complete
Russell never profited
from Spacewar!
“If I hadn’t done it, someone would’ve
done something equally exciting, if not
better, in the next six months. I just
happened to get there first.”
(Russell about Spacewar!)
First computer virus
In 1983, Fred Cohen designed
a hidden program that could
infect a computer, copy itself,
and then infect other
computers through a floppy
disk.
The program was benign,
meant only to prove that it
was possible.
