In our project we want to talk about the
current environmental situation in our country
and in the whole world.
Climate change
It’s necessary to understand that climate change is a range of possible
events that are more or less likely. But the situation is not hopeless. For
example, to solve this problem the Americans have decided to use
transportation less often and refuse enterprises which throws out
ozone-depleting chemicals.
Renewable energy
Since the turn of this millennium, Germany has decided to turn toward
renewable sources for generating electricity. By shutting down its dirty
power plants and weaning itself from fossil fuels now, the country aims to
generate nearly all its electricity from renewables by 2050. And nearly twothirds of citizens in Germany support a turn toward renewables.
Air pollution
The problem of air pollution worries us more than others. If you look
around you in a big city you can see millions of cars everywhere. They stand
close to, far away or in front of you. We can see traffic jams throughout the
day everywhere, especially in the city center. Traffic jams are one of the
main problem of modern cities.
Cars send exhaust gases into the atmosphere and it
entails the destruction of ozone layer and the increase of
ultraviolet light. It promotes increase of the ozone hole.
Animals begin to die, plants are disappearing and
people begin to forget, that nature is our home and
we must take care of our world.
The situation can get out of our control if people all
over the world do not begin to correct their
actions.
If we do not think about consequences, we will collectively
point ourselves into a corner. Scientists, engineers and inventors all
over the world are trying to create a new type of car engines which will
not pollute the environment and will be available for everybody.
Everybody must act to save our planet!
For example, we can ride a bicycle more often instead of driving a car,
or we can arrange one day a week when everybody will go on foot. We
should remember that everything is in our hands. We should
begin to act quickly before it becomes too late!
