Key issues
Assessment of the trends in GHG emissions for the
specific sector
To evaluate the implementation of the recommendations
of ECCP I Working Groups and the achievement of the
commitments taken by the EC
To evaluate the concrete implementation in the MS
(actual and projected emission reductions, identifying
best practice, evaluating cost-effectiveness, impacts on
the sectors concerned and specific gaps.)
To evaluate the progress in terms of the development of
EU climate policy and consider issues in relation to the
overall consistency, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of
future EU wide climate policy in synergy with the Lisbon
strategy
To develop conclusions and recommendations.
