Methods
56 interviews: 22 apple growers, 29 dairy
farmers, 11 consultants.
Discourse analysis using NVIVO software.
Preliminary results
42 (68%) think climate change is occurring.
10 (16%) think it is man-made.
16 (26%) think it is natural.
13 (21%) think it is a combination of man-made and natural.
19 (31%) are undecided about the causes.
29 (47%) have made observations they link to climate change.
16 (26%) are taking action
22 (35%) are worried about the carbon pollution reduction scheme.
19 (31%) are worried about the future of the planet.
23 (37%) see relative benefit for agriculture in Tasmania.
These results are not representative.
