• I met the person we talked about the next day,
is it a coincidence?
• Meaning: an event that might have been
arranged although it is an accident.

• Ex. The police describes the sequence of the
crime leading up to the robbery.
• When you want to write a paragraph about
history, try to put events in sequence from
which happen first to which happen last.
• Meaning: the arrangement in which things
follow in logical order or pattern.

sharp, natural and flat notes in their songs.
• Musicians learn to use musical notes in special
schools.
Meaning: are marks and symbols used by
musicians to present relation and pitch of
sounds.

• Ex. She retired and got divorced when she was
55 years old.
• After long years at work, he finally retired.
• Meaning: to leave work.
