NEW: Climate Changes Reporting
System for Future Earth
The Climate Change reporting system by
is announced which is an electronic language
of the 'XML' family.
"Companies are increasingly reporting on their
carbon footprints as a way to measure their direct
and indirect greenhouse gas emissions.
The climate change reporting taxonomy will allow
companies to enhance such data collection and
streamline their carbon reporting processes.“
Brad J. Monterio, Board Member, Institute of Management Accountants
and Chair, IMA XBRL Committee

eXtensible Business Reporting Language, or XBRL as it
is more commonly known, is about to transform the
way companies report their climate change

XBRL is already widely used for financial reporting in
the Japan where it is mandated by the Ministry of
Finance and Tax Agency.
XBRL climate change reporting taxonomy will make
climate disclosure easier and more streamlined for
companies.

for Sustainable Development (SATREPS)
-New Scheme of JST and JICA-
The Role of SATREPS
1.
International cooperation – Enhancing International cooperation in Science
and Technology between Japan and developing countries
2
Addressing global issues and advancing science – Developing and applying
new technology for the resolution of global issues and acquiring new
knowledge
3
Capacity development – Boosting self-reliant research and development
capacity in developing countries through international joint research,
constructing sustainable research system
Coordinating networking between researchers, and
training future human resource in developing countries
and Japan (students can join the project)
