How do Proteins benefit you while you workout?
Questions
Protein is a nitrogenous compound which
you can find in plants animals that, when
hydrolyzed, converts to amino acids
required for the making and the repair of
body tissues and the source of heat and
energy.
What is Protein?
The amount of protein you take depends on your weight. People have
been taking protein as early as the 50’s but they didn’t take highly
processed product and they took different amounts. The amount an
average person needs is 1 gram per 100 pounds of body weight (for
instance if you weighed 200 pounds the minimum amount of protein you
would need to take in would be about 2 grams of protein for muscle
growth. Any additional protein that goes over the daily minimum for
muscle gain just helps to speed up the healing process if you have had
any injury’s. If you are a body builder and take high amounts of protein it
will not benefit that much where as a novice weightlifter would benefit
greatly from the high amount of protein this happens because the
bodybuilder uses their strength and practice over time when the novice
weight lifter uses the protein they took in to help with the lifting.
How much should
you take in?
Protein is made for the production of muscles they are also used
to build up hormones, enzymes, cellular messengers, nucleic
acids, and immunes system components. Without good protein
our bodies can’t put together the structures that make up every
cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies, nor can it generate the
biochemical substances needed for cardiovascular function,
muscle contraction, growth, and healing. Without the right
amount of protein in our bodies our muscles wouldn’t heal up as
fast and could therefor lead to overtraining your muscles which
could possibly lead to injury’s. If you are a body builder and take
high amounts of protein it will not benefit that much where as a
novice weightlifter would benefit greatly from the high amount of
protein. Novice weightlifters use the most protein since they are
adding muscle most rapidly.
