to show the differences in representation of a
group. (60 marks)
2.
A practical piece of work related to music video
-this could be a storyboard, promotional poster,
CD packaging, or very simple video. (40 marks)
3.
An evaluation of the above, including all
planning and research. (20 marks)
History of the Music Video
• When was the first music video created?
Music videos were created to encourage
sales of records. Although The Beatles
and Bob Dylan made short films to
accompany their songs it was Queen’s
Bohemian Rhapsody in 1975 that began
things.
When MTV started in 1981, Buggles’
‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ was the first
video aired.
