Notes and Reminders:
•If your child needs to deviate from his/her normal
schedule at the end of the day, a written note must be sent
with your child to school or your child will follow his/her
normal schedule home.

it is a gym class week.
•Both classes are collecting box tops and Campbell's soup
labels if you have any at home. Please send them in !
•We are collecting envelopes from junk mailings to use as
envelopes for lunch money. Please save and send in those
unwanted junk mail envelopes that you aren’t going to use.

Math- Chapter 1, Lesson 1-3 MEAP prep work
 homework for Math should be coming home
nightly Mon. through Thurs. Please watch for it
and it must be returned next day!
Science- Introduce science kit – Energy Transfer
Social Studies- Chapter 1
Reading- MEAP prep work
 We will be focusing on Story Structure:
Identifying characters, time, setting, and plot.
We will also be practicing how to summarize
stories and identifying the rate (fluency) at
which certain texts should be read.
Writing – Writing Descriptive Paragraphs and
MEAP prep work.



We will be working on our writing focus trait: Ideas for
writing Narratives.
Spelling- Unit 1
Spelling homework is due on Thursday and the test
is on Friday.
 Don’t procrastinate, do a little each night so you
are not so overwhelmed.

** Art and Gym alternate weeks and on the
Art weeks we have an extra special on Tuesday
afternoons. The special alternates between
Art and STEM.
Mrs. Beecherl and Mrs. Tovarez will be working with both 4th grade classes this school year. Mrs.
Tovarez will be teaching math, science and helping out with social studies; Mrs. Beecherl will be
working on reading/writing and social studies. Each teacher will work on spelling with both groups. If
