• Spay – Ovariohysterectomy
– Removal of the ovaries and the entire uterus
• Neuter – Orchiectomy (castration)
– Removal of the testes

Causes of Disease

Immunity
A function of the lymph system and protects the body from
infection, disease and foreign bodies.

Passive Immunity – mother gives to young through
colostrum. Passive immunity is short-term.

Active Immunity – antibodies are produced by natural
or artificial means in response to an antigen.
