Mandatory Uniform Policy
Coconut Palm K-8 Academy stands on the premise
that the first requirement of quality education is to
establish a safe and disciplined learning
environment. The following School Uniform Policy is
based on research and survey results from parents
and teachers. The objective of the policy is to
minimize the disruptions and distractions that can
be caused by inappropriate attire. Research shows
that when students wear uniforms, they are more
focused and there are less disciplinary problems in
school.
Shoes may not have open toes or open heels. Shoes must be
tied or properly fastened at all times.
Students should learn to tie their shoelaces at home.
Shirts and blouses must be tucked in neatly at all times.
Absences
Students missing 5 or more consecutive days of school are
required to provide a written statement. The written statement
must include all days the student has been absent from school.
