Devices
There are three types of devices Storage,
Input and Output Device.
The Input device means: When you give
information or do something to access
data
Storage device means: To save or how the
name already says to store data.
Output device means: Is a device that
shows your data.
Mouse
• A mouse is used for selecting data.
• It is one of the most important tools.
• When you want to open or select data you need
to click onto the left pad of the mouse this is
called left click.
• When you click onto the right pad a little row of
options you can do with the data this is called
right click.
• In the middle there is a little scroll which is used
for moving the page up and down. It also has an
second option which is zooming.
Keyboard
• The Keyboard is used for writing.
• And with certain keys you can do things
we usually do with a mouse.
• So the keyboard is very important.
The computer it self.
• Many people think the screen is the
computer.
• This is not true the big box is the
computer if you have a desktop computer.
• If you have a laptop the computer it self is
under the keyboard.
• The screen only shows us what data is on
the computer it is not the computer.
Monitor
• The monitor shows what you
are doing.
• It is very usefull.
• This presentation we are showing
you is displayed on the monitor.
The difference between Desktop
and Laptop
A Laptop is a little computer you can take it
every where you want while the desktop a
big fat box much to big is. And the Laptop
also has the mouse and the keyboard with
the monitor including the computer all put
together and the desktop you must buy all
the extras.
Printer
• You do not need a printer but it is useful if
you have it.
• If you write something on the Computer and you
want to give it someone else on a sheet of paper.
• You will need to somehow put the data on the sheet
of paper and that is why we have the printer.
• In a box you can lay the paper in. When you
right click on the printer bottom.
• The printer will print your data on a piece of paper.
Speakers
• The speakers are the tool for hearing what
is said in a Video or a music thats playing.
• They are also to watch films and than hear
what happens.
Inside a Computer
A computer has 7 main parts inside the Computer.
Ram: Holds the software you are working on (random
access memory)
Motherboard: Heart of the computer, everything is
attached to it.
CPU: Runs your software.
Video Drive: Makes the images on your monitor.
Power Supply: Gives power to every part of the
computer.
Hard Disk: Holds your data even when you are not
working on it.
Ahh now I understand
what this thingy
(Computer) is !!!
