Science Starters are a group activity
that we do 2-3 times a week.
Work with your group/partner.
All students must participate.
This is NOT socializing time.
Classes with the most Science Starter points
earn a music note.
Fill up all your music notes and the class
earns 30 minutes of independent work time
(no lecture!) with your music!
Come to class prepared! Have your
pen/pencil, paper, etc. ready to go
BEFORE the bell rings.
Have extra pencils in case one breaks!
If your extra pencils break or you do
not have paper you may raise your
hand and borrow a colored pencil and
scratch paper from Mrs. Espinosa.
I do NOT have a pencil sharpener.
Notes will be taken daily and should be kept
in a notebook or a science section of your 3ring binder.
All notes, handouts, worksheets,
assignments, will be stapled together and
collected on test days with a check-off sheet.
Assignments that need to be included in the
packet will be listed on the board.
Certain assignments may be collected
individually.
All homework should be turned in with the
notes packet unless otherwise instructed.
Immediately stop talking and stop
what you are doing.
Absolutely, NO TALKING during
announcements, sit and listen.
Teacher will often call on random students
for answers.

the correct answer is given. At that time
anyone who said Echo will echo the correct
answer.
