more number sentences.
Let’s take four beads.
Then take three more.
The number sentence is:
4+3=7
What would happen
if we had chosen 3 beads first,
then added 4 beads?
3+4=7
Is the total still the same?
4+3=7

What have we done with the numbers?
4 + 3 =
7
3 + 4 =
7
The 4 and the 3 have swapped places.
They have swapped places but
the answer is still the same.

It does not matter which way round
they go, the answer is still the same.
