They built dames made from earth.
Used wheeled carts to carry grin.
they strapped a domesticated animals to
the carts.
They had a monarchy form of government.
The Akkadian Empire
They
had a standing army.
Sargon ruled for 56 years.
The empire lasted for more than 200
years.
The capital was Akkad.
Babylonian empire
They had a centralized government.
They created taxation.
It was named after its capital city Babylon.
They made the code of Hammurabi.
The Kassites and the Hittites
The Kassites tried for many years to take
Babylon.
The Hittites came from the north and
attacked Babylon.
They robed with there chariots Babylon
and left.
Babylon was weekend and the Kassites
toke over.
The Assyrian Empire
The Hittites helped the Assyrians gain an
empire.
They learned to make iron weapons.
They learned warfare from the Hittites.
In 700s B.C. they were the largest army in
Mesopotamia.
The Neo-Babylonian Empire
Babylon was their capital city.
Nebuchadnezzar was of their best known
king.
They had the hanging gardens.
The hanging gardens are one of the seven
wonders of the ancient world.
My Summary
I learned that the Sumerian empire was
the first empire. I also learned that the
Sumerian people invented cuneiform. I
learned that there was six empires.
