While studying the results, some patterns started
showing up. The people studied made some good
suggestions on how the project should be improved. Some
of the ideas were creative, and would make for good future
testing. The other ideas were thought of by the tester, but
due time issues and money problems had to be turned
down. If the project had to be done again, more movement
by using some actuators or hydraulics would be used.
This project’s purpose was to see whether the mind is
affected by motion and video works. To achieve this I
set up a chair and hotwired it to be used for this
experiment. I used nightlights (using the photo
resistor) I pressed it up against a laptop computer.
Using white and black boxes on the screen to turn on
and off the motors on the chair I accomplished the task
of automation. When it came to testing the subjects I
turn off the lights and had them watch the video twice,
once with the vibrations and one without. I tested 26
subjects and asked them how the experience was.
