The gerund can also be
combined with certain verbs
of MOTION. The verb tells
the direction while the gerund
tells the manner.

Después del partido todos
salieron corriendo.
Venir: here
Perdimos el bus, venimos
caminando.
ir: there
Fuimos caminando al
parque.
irse: off or away
 Después de perder el partido,
Luis se fue manejando.
volver: back
 Fuimos al partido en metro,
pero decidí volver caminando.
