Lightroom
To import pictures go to the bottom
left hand corner and select import
This will then open a window where you can
go and find your flash drive/sd card and select
the pictures you want to import. But wait to
click import.
Before clicking import look to the
right of your window.
• Notice you can go through and
rename your pictures so that
their names go in sequential
order or by custom name. You
just have to type in the custom
text.
• Also notice that there is a
apply during import section.
This is where you can import
pictures with presets are
added to the pictures so you
don’t have to go back through
and do it to each individual
image.
• Now go ahead and click import
It will now show you your LIBRARY
(where all your pictures will be
saved)
There is filtering that you can do to better
organize your pictures. Like Adobe Bridge you
can key in 1-5 for the ***** or you can
CTRL+6-9 to color code your images.
• Once you have gone
through your images
and filtered through
them you can go and
find them in your
collections tab on the
bottom left hand.
• They are called smart
collections. That way
you can edit which 5
star or 3 star ones you
want to do.
When you’re ready to begin editing
the pictures, select the picture you
want to edit, then click develop on
the top right hand corner.

went half way down It will manipulate the picture to go darker to
lighter. Which is the top will be the darkest part since that is my
beginning point.
The next is Radial Filter. It will create a circle
and will give a gradient filter within that
circle. (darker to lighter)
