What is a Reflexive Verb?
• A verb that ends in “SE”
Ex:
ducharse
cepillarse
lavarse
levantarse
• A verb that describes an action that a person does
to or for himself or herself
Ex:
I bathe (myself)……………….bañarse
She dresses (herself)………..vestirse
• A verb that refers the action of that verb back to
the person; therefore two pronouns are used
Ex:

Tú te lavas los dientes……You brush your teeth
**The non-reflexive form of the verb is used for an action that is being
done to someone else….
