Vocabulary
Connotation- refers to a meaning that
is implied by a word apart from the thing
which it describes explicitly.
Examples:

three steps.
1. Underline the adjectives and action
verbs
2. Infer the charge of these words
3. Ask, “What do these words reveal
about the text?”
