Indirect Object Pronouns
What is the indirect
object?
The indirect object is for whom or to whom the object is for.
It answers the questions ¿para quién? o ¿a quién?
Yo compro el boleto para Mario. I buy the tickets for Mario.
La auxiliar de vuelo da el refresco a Laura. The flight attendant gave
a soft drink to Laura.
When do I use
indirect object
pronouns?
You use indirect object pronouns (I.O.P.) when you don’t want to
keep repeating the indirect object noun.

Where are the
I.O.P. placed?
Ejemplos:
I.O.P. are always placed before conjugated verbs
* or attached to the end of the infinitives and –ndo forms
when there is more than one verb.

I buy tickets for Mario.
