Last week a woman went into town to do some shopping.
A man was standing outside the supermarket handing
out small cups of a new soft drink. He said it would be
the best thing she’d ever tasted. She tried it. She said it
tasted horrible. He said that he didn’t like it much either.
She laughed and went into the supermarket. At the
cheese counter the woman couldn’t decide whether to
buy Cheddar or Brie. She asked the shop assistant which
cheese she liked best. The assistant said she thought she
should buy some Brie. She said she had had some the
week before and it had been delicious. Next the woman
went to get some juice. She wanted orange and they only
had pineapple left. She asked another assistant where
she would find the orange juice. But the assistant replied
that they had just sold out. She said they would be
getting some more the following day but that she had
better come early as they were selling out quickly in this
hot weather. She suggested that she tried some of the
refreshing new soft drink they were advertising outside
