• To avoid food poisoning food must be stored
at the correct temperature
• In your jotter right down the correct
temperature for a fridge and for a freezer.
• Why should raw meat be stored at the
bottom of the refrigerator?
• What is the best way to defrost a chicken?
Remember
You should never thaw frozen meat or
poultry in a warm place since this will
allow bacteria to multiply rapidly,
particularly on the outside of the meat as
this part will thaw first.
