Proposal of Food Waste Recycling for
Fish Processing Company in the U.S.
Machine Description
DENSON Bio Cycle Master (BCM) can convert biodegradable waste into high-quality fertilizer
(compost) and/or fodder, producing no harmful substance and significantly less CO2 than
conventional incinerators.
The following are some of its interesting features:
A Savvy Decomposer
- BCM utilizes two special beaters to rigorously mix, crush, and provide oxygen to the waste. This
catalyzes aerobes that decompose carbohydrate, protein, and fat.
Keep the Air Fresh
- No stench is produced. When forming the reusable materials, oxygen reacts with organic
substances to form water and carbon dioxide, leaving no malodorous particles.
Historically Proven Safe Bacterial Use
- BCM deploys Bacillus Subtilis BN1001, a member of grass bacillus commonly found in soil. This
aerobic bacteria is engineered by Meiji Seika Kaisha Ltd. and manufactured by Meiji Food Materia
Co., Ltd. and has proven to be very safe by various Japanese research institutes.
- The bacteria contains protease and lipase, enzymes that break down protein and fat.
- Its active temperature is 36-38˚C (97-100˚F), a very safe and easy operating condition.
Chaffs Used to Supplement the Process
- Abundant and cheap, chaffs are added to the food waste and processed together in order to form
nutritiously rich materials.
Waste Water Vaporization
- The water molecules formed by organic decomposition are blown away by a low temperature
vaporization technique. This allows no wastewater.
Fast and Efficient Process Cycle
- General leftover food will disappear in a day. Citrus skin and similar materials require about two
days, which can be shortened by using a crusher. Fish can be easily decomposed in a matter of
hours. About 95% of the materials turn into H2O and CO2.
No Stink
- The combination of active carbon and ozone deodorizes the stench produced from protein
decomposition.

Quick Overview of BCM
- A single process cycle takes 12 hours to complete.
-The installed decompressor evaporates wastewater by lowering the boiling
point. This allows BCM to conserve time and energy.
- To conserve electric power, BCM deploys a non-electric boiler (gas or steam
power) in the mixer to heat up the materials.
- After the decomposition process, BCM sterilizes the produced material by
heating up the chamber from 70-80˚C using a decompressor. The produced
material can be directly used as a compost or additionally processed for
refinement.
- Because the process omits ultra-high-temperature sterilization, nutrients in the
materials are well conserved.
- The materials are dry enough after the process and are immediately usable as
a compost. It can also be matured for 50 days for betterment.
- A user can adjust the hydration level of the materials down to 10% depending
on the purpose.
