Through service learning, I learned a lot
about myself and other organizations. I
learned that there is always something
you can do to help others whether it be
by giving a homeless person two dollars,
picking up trash, or working at a big
event for non-profit organizations.
Service learning truly makes you feel
thankful for what you have and makes
you want to help those in need.
 Phi
Mu Sorority holds an annual
volleyball tournament to raise money for
our philanthropy, Children’s Miracle
Network. We spent almost ten hours at
this tournament that day and raised
$17,000 for CMN! This is a record high
of the amount of money we have raised
for them! Our sorority loves CMN and we
always do whatever we can to help
them.
Valdosta State University holds an annual
Relay For Life that lasts from 7 pm to 7 am. I
was on the Phi Mu team and we stayed
from 7 pm to 2:30 am. Relay for Life is a 12
hour walk that id put on by the American
Cancer Society. Relay for Life represents the
hope that those lost to cancer will never be
forgotten and that those who face cancer
will be supported.

 Phi
Mu Sorority has adopted a
strip of road in from of the
Hospital and business school
on Patterson Street. Randomly
throughout the semester we
do a trash pick up.
